Our process is straightforward:

We are following the standard
film production sequence.
First, we worked out the script.

After that, we created a storyboard.

We decided to make a storyboard
as a "three in one" package.
In addition to the framing of a shot,
it has a color key and
 lighting conceptually developed.

Though it took way longer to produce,
it was a good time investment.
It allowed us to work out lighting and
color before engaging in 3D.



Then, we have done concept art
for most of the characters,
locations, and elements.



Currently, we are on the animatic stage
and about 20% through.

An animatic is also "advanced",
not just an "animated storyboard".

Unreal Engine let us take the shots
as far as possible in terms of texturing,
lighting, colors, and even some basic VFX).

WHAT IS NEXT?:

Our estimate for the animatic completion
is about one year from now.

After that, we plan to pitch a film
to studios and then take it from there.

This story is a prequel to a five-volume
sci-fi series by a writer Ivan Konstantinov.
Our long-term perspective is
to make a full-featured film adaptation
of these sci-fi series,
using Unreal Engine based
virtual production technology.
